Bomb scare ends with old clothes in Sonargaon

The incident prompts a full bomb disposal response

A bomb scare has gripped a filling station in Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj after a locked bag was found abandoned on the premises.

Police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel and the bomb disposal unit have later found only a torn piece of old clothing inside the bag.

Narayanganj Police Superintendent Mizanur Rahman Munshi said on Monday that the bag contained “no bomb or explosive device”.
