Bulbul Ahmed to be buried Friday

Dhaka, July 15 (bdnews24.com) — Famous actor Bulbul Ahmed will be buried beside his parents at Azimpur graveyard on Friday.
The burial will take place after his son and daughter, living in exile, return.
Ahmed died at around 11:30pm on Wednesday at the Square Hospitals. He felt sick at his home at Niketan and died after he was taken to the hospital. He was 70.
He had been suffering from cardiac diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time.
President Zillur Rahman and information and cultural affairs minister Abul Kalam Azad in separate messages expressed condolence in his death.
His body has been kept at Square Hospitals mortuary.
His wife Daisy Ahmed said, "His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Gulshan Mosque, at BTV and later at FDC on Friday before his burial at Azimpur graveyard."
Ahmed shot to fame in the 1970s and 1980s with lead roles in hit films 'Suryakanya', 'Seemana Periye' and 'Mahanayak'.
He became a film icon by performing the lead role in 'Devdas' which was directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam.
In his long, glittering career, Ahmed won the National Movie Award four times. He also directed four movies.
Apart from movies, he also appeared on television including in the serial 'Ei Shob Dinratri' which made him even more popular. He also took part in several advertisements.
