Dhaka, July 9 (BDNEWS) – Boys have done much well than girl students in this year's SSC, Dakhil and vocational examinations. Passing rate of male students is higher than female students in each education board.
Even in terms of GPA, male students have got more than the females. In last five years, female students did better than the males.
As many as 64,030 male examinees out of 1,16,715 candidates under Dhaka Board have passed this year. Passing rate of male candidates is 54.86 per cent. Of them 3,500 obtained GPA-5.
Meanwhile, 51,533 female candidates out of 1,01,959 examinees have passed this year's examination. Passing rate of female students is 50.54 per cent. Of them 2,764 obtained GPA-5.
In Chittagong Board number of male examinees was 30,647 and of them 19,157 have passed with success rate of 62.51 per cent. As many as 1,220 male examinees obtained GPA-5.
On the other hand, number of female examinees was 27,672 and of them 16,373 have passed with success rate of 59.19 per cent. As many as 1045 examinees got GPA-5.
Of the candidates in Rajshahi Board 11 thousand 567 were boys. Fifty thousand 742 passed. The pass percentage is 44 point 48. Two thousand 112 got GPA-5. On the other hand, there were 92 thousand 570 female students. Of them 37 thousand 299 passed. The pass percentage is 40 point 29.
Of the candidates in Jessore Board 56 thousand 581 were boys. Forty thousand 85 passed. The pass percentage is 70 point 85. One thousand 74 got GPA-5. On the other hand, there were 44 thousand 992 female students. Of them 30 thousand 193 passed. The pass percentage is 67 point 11. Five hundred and 80 scored GPA-5.
Of the candidates in Comilla Board 46 thousand 150 were boys. Twenty seven thousand 473 passed. The pass percentage is 59 point 53. Nine hundred and 34 got GPA-5. On the other hand, there were 40 thousand 793 female students. Of them 21 thousand 120 passed. The pass percentage is 51 point 77. Four hundred and 73 achieved GPA-5.
Among 27 thousand 763 male candidates under Barisal Board 12 thousand 693 passed successfully. Of the successful male candidates 247 got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 45.72.
The number of female candidates under the board was 24 thousand 553 while 10 thousand 15 successfully passed the exam. Of them 135 got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 40.79.
The number of male candidates under Sylhet Board was 14 thousand 183 while 7 thousand 345 successfully passed the exam. Among them 301 candidates got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 51.79.
The number of female candidates there was 15 thousand 276 while 6 thousand 935 passed the SSC exam. Of them 172 female candidates got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 45.40.
A total of 92 thousand 99 male candidates under the Madrasa Education Board appeared in the exam while 60 thousand 494 crossed the hurdle. Among the successful male candidates 423 got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 65.68.
The number of female candidates was 64 thousand 716 while 36 thousand 812 passed the exam. Of them 218 got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 56.88.
In the vocational exam under the Technical Education Board 25 thousand 14 male candidates appeared while 13 thousand 44 passed the test. Among them three got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 52.15.
The number of female candidates in the exam was 10 thousand 765 while 5 thousand 395 passed. Of them one got GPA-5 and the pass percentage is 49.78.
