After the announcement of the Dhaka University Hall Committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, some newly appointed members have been accused of having ties with the Chhatra League.

The organisation has formed an investigation committee to look into the allegations.

This development was shared in a media statement signed by Dhaka University branch Chhatra Dal Office Secretary Mollik Wasi Uddin Tami on Friday.

It said, “A three-member investigation committee has been formed to prepare a detailed report following allegations that some members of the newly formed hall convening committees under Dhaka University joined the organisation by concealing information and violating organisational discipline.”

The notification mentioned that the committee has been directed to submit a written report within the next three working days.

The existing committees of the hall branches of Dhaka University have been abolished, and 18 new hall branch committees have been formed, the statement highlighted.

Despite the ban on student politics in the university, a total of 593 students have been appointed to these announced committees.
