The Border Guard Bangladesh has said that the allegation raised by the “Arakan Army” over BGB assisting the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and the Rohingya Solidarity Organisation (RSO) is “misleading”.

In a statement on Monday, the BGB said it always considers ARSA and RSO as a threat to border stability, and strict measures have been taken to suppress their activities.

The statement also claims that several top leaders of the groups, including ARSA chief Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi, have been arrested.

“The United League of Arakan (ULA), political wing of the Arakan Army, alleged that the BGB is providing patronage to ARSA and RSO. But the BGB has clearly stated that this allegation is misleading," it added.
