DMP reshuffles OCs in Uttara West, Banani, Bhatara

One OC moved to DB, while two inspectors appointed as station chiefs

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has appointed new officers-in-charge (OCs) to Uttara West, Banani, and Bhatara police stations in a fresh administrative reshuffle.

The changes were announced on Tuesday through an order issued by the acting DMP commissioner.

According to the order, Mohammad Khalid Mansur, the current chief of Banani Police Station, has been transferred to lead Uttara West Police Station. He replaces Kazi Md Rafiq Ahmed, who has been moved to the Detective Branch (DB).

Inspector Muhammed Faridul Islam has taken charge of Banani Police Station.

Inspector Mohammad Mazharul Islam, on the other hand, has been appointed as the new chief of Bhatara Police Station.

The appointment at Bhatara Police Station comes after its previous chief Emaul Haque was removed last Wednesday and reassigned to the Development Division.

His withdrawal followed allegations of "suspicious transactions" detected in his mobile financial service account.
