Deep depression weakens as it crosses coast, warning signal still on

Gusty or squally winds are likely in the coastal areas due to the deep depression

The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has moved west-northwestwards and crossed the West Bengal-Odisha coast.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has indicated that it may gradually weaken further.

However, a warning has been issued that gusty or squally winds may sweep across the coastal areas of the country.
