Attempted arson, bomb attack at DUCSU member Rafia’s Mymensingh residence

DUCSU member Rafia’s brother demands the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident

Assailants have thrown a crude bomb at DUCSU member Umma Uswatun Rafia’s house in Mymensingh, while pouring flammable materials in an attempt to set the residence on fire.

Her family is reportedly in a state of panic following the attack.

The incident took place around 2:45am on Wednesday at Dholadia of the city, said Kotwali Model Police chief Md Shibirul Islam.

Rafia’s family has filed a case under the Explosives Act at the police station on Thursday, naming unknown people as suspects.

Police said they visited the scene at night after receiving information.

Rafia's brother Khandaker Zulkarnain Raad demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.

Officer Shibirul said, “Those involved in the incident will be arrested soon.”
