The parliament session has resumed after a 13-day break due to Eid and other holidays.
The session resumed at 3pm on Sunday with the recitation of the Quran presided over by Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal.
Leader of the Parliament Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Leader of the Opposition Shafiqur Rahman were in attendance.
According to the day's programme, the session will begin with a one-hour question and answer session. In addition, there will be a discussion on notices of national public importance and the president's speech.
The first session of the 13th parliament, which began on Mar 12, was adjourned to Mar 15 due to Eid-ul-Fitr and other holidays.
The meeting of the Executive Advisory Committee decided that this session will continue until Apr 30.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the BNP parliamentary party was held at 1:30pm in the government party's meeting room on the ninth floor of the parliament building. This adjourned meeting was chaired by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting, which began on Saturday and lasted for an hour, was adjourned after the discussion.
