The government has revised its earlier decision on the appointment of the district administrator (DC) of Sylhet, assigning a new official to the post.

Abdullah Al Mamun, a deputy secretary at the Information and Communication Technology Division, has been appointed to the post.

The Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointment on Thursday night.

The decision replaces the ministry's earlier posting order under which Md Reza Hasan had been assigned as Sylhet DC.

The latest order comes just 11 days after Reza was posted to the district.
