Train services on the Mymensingh-Jamalpur route have resumed after a coach of the Bijoy Express derailed in Mymensingh city, halting movement for about two and a half hours.
Md Aktar Hossain, cheif of Mymensingh Railway Police, said services returned to normal around 1am on Friday once the derailed coach was recovered.
The Chattogram-bound Bijoy Express, which had left Jamalpur, derailed a coach near the city's Notun Bazar around 9:30pm on Thursday.
Earlier the same evening, a wheel of a gang car derailed just before Shyamganj Railway Station, leaving Mohanganj Express stranded at Gouripur station and Jaria Local at Shambhuganj.
Services on that route resumed around 7:45pm.
