Jatiya Party leader Ruhul Amin hospitalised with heart complications

He is scheduled to undergo an angiogram

ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, secretary general of a faction of the Jatiya Party, has been hospitalised in Dhaka with heart problems.

The former minister is being treated at the United Hospital, the party's Office Secretary MA Razzak Khan said in a media statement on Thursday.

Razzak said Ruhul sought medical attention at the hospital after feeling unwell on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with high blood pressure.

After initial treatment, when his physical condition improved slightly, doctors advised him to return home for rest.

But his physical condition deteriorated on Wednesday night. He was rushed to the hospital again, leading to his admission to the CCU.

Ruhul was scheduled to undergo an angiogram on Thursday afternoon.

His wife Begum Nasrin Jahan Ratna, also a party leader and a former MP, has asked everyone to pray for his speedy recovery.
