4 of a family found with their throats slit in Naogaon

The incident occurred in Niamatpur Upazila’s Bahadurpur village

The bodies of four members of the same family have been found with their throats slit in Naogaon’s Niamatpur.

The incident occurred in the Upazila’s Bahadurpur village, according to Niamatpur Police chief Mahbubur Rahman.

The dead have been identified as local resident Habibur Rahman, 32, his wife Poppy Khatun, 25, their son Parvez, 9, and daughter Sadia Rahman, 3.

Citing locals and the family, police say that Habibur’s father Namir Hossain saw blood seeping out under the door to his son’s room and entered to find the four bodies on the bed, covered with a bedsheet.

Poppy’s father Moazzem Hossain said, “I want exemplary punishment for those who murdered my daughter, my son-in-law, and my grandchildren.”

Police official Mahbubur said, “The four bodies have been recovered. We are investigating the cause of the incident. We will provide more details once our probe is complete.
