Three people on a motorcycle, including two brothers, have been killed in a road accident in Faridpur’s Bhanga.
The accident occurred around 1:30am on Sunday in front of the graveyard next to Madhabpur Bridge in Hamirdi Union, according to Helal Uddin, chief of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
A police sergeant was sent to the scene when the accident was reported, OC Helal said.
An unidentified vehicle rammed their motorcycle and quickly fled the scene, he said, citing the sergeant.
The dead have been identified as brothers Sumon, 25, Emon, 22, and Ashik Molla, 22.
Sumon and Emon died on the spot, while Ashik was rescued in critical condition and admitted to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The OC said the bodies of the dead were handed over to their families later on Sunday morning. Law enforcers are working to identify the vehicle involved in the accident and its driver.
