Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman has held a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during his visit to New Delhi.

Both sides agreed on maintaining “close communication” after the meeting at Hyderabad House on Wednesday.

Sharing a photo from the meeting on X, Jaishankar wrote: “Pleased to host FM Khalilur Rahman of Bangladesh and his delegation this afternoon.

“We discussed strengthening our bilateral relationship in its various facets. Also exchanged views on regional and global developments.

“Agreed to remain in close touch.”

Bangladesh’s delegation also included Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humaiun Kobir and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Delhi Riaz Hamidullah.
