Student killed in motorcycle-lorry crash in Natore

Two of his friends, pillion riding with him, have also been seriously wounded

A school student riding a motorcycle has been killed in a head-on collision with a lorry in Singra, Natore.

Two of his friends who were riding with him were also injured.

Singra Police chief Mominuzzaman said the accident occurred around 6:30 pm on Tuesday on the Ningoin–Jormollika road.

The student, Sizan Ahmed, 17, was the son of expatriate Sohel Rana.

He was a 10th-grade vocational student at Singra Damdama Pilot School and College. He lived at his maternal grandfather’s house in Singra Municipality for his studies.

Sizan’s friends, Mushfiq and Sohan, identified by single names, were seriously injured. The officer said they were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

Sizan was heading toward Singra from Ningoin with his two friends when he collided head-on with a lorry coming from the opposite direction, police say.
