Government appoints new UNOs in 77 Upazilas

They will join the divisional offices by Dec 4, a notification says

As part of the administrative reshuffle before the announcement of the national election schedule, new Upazila administrators (UNO) have been appointed in 77 Upazilas across Bangladesh.

On Monday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued eight separate notifications confirming the appointments.

Earlier, on Wednesday, new UNOs were appointed in 166 districts at once.

The notifications mention the officers will perform the duties of executive magistrates in their respective jurisdictions.

They will join the divisional offices by Dec 4, it added.
