The United States Embassy in Dhaka has reminded visa applicants to disclose all social media usernames or handles they have used over the past five years when completing the DS-160 non-immigrant visa application form.
In a post on X, the embassy said applicants must provide the usernames or handles of every social media platform they have used during the previous five years as part of the application process.
Applicants are required to certify that all information submitted in the DS-160 is true and accurate before signing and filing the form.
The embassy warned that omitting social media information could lead to a visa being denied.
It added that applicants who fail to provide the required information could also become ineligible for future US visas.
The DS-160 is the standard online application form used by individuals applying for non-immigrant visas to the United States.
The embassy urged applicants to ensure their applications are complete and accurate before submission.
