Three get death penalty for killing autorickshaw driver in Keraniganj

A Dhaka court has sentenced three people to death for killing a man known only as Jewel and stealing his autorickshaw in Keraniganj about five years ago.

The verdict was announced Monday by Dhaka Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Munir Hossain, said court bench assistant Riazul Islam Sajib.

The three are Ali Hossain, Lutfur Rahman and Hasan.

They were also sentenced to five years in prison for robbery. 

Garage owner Ahmadur Rahman was sentenced to three years for knowingly buying the stolen auto-rickshaw at a low price.
