Two men have died in a head-on collision between a private car and a motorcycle in Sunamganj’s Shantiganj Upazila.
The accident occurred around 11:45am at Joykalash area on the Sunamganj-Sylhet road on Saturday, said Shantiganj Police Station chief Md Akram Ali.
The victims are Md Jewel Mia from the district’s Dowarabazar Upazila and Shabdar Ali from Sunamganj's municipal town.
The district administration employees were friends.
They were travelling by motorcycle from Sunamganj town to Jagannathpur when their vehicle crashed with a car coming from Sylhet, the OC said, citing witnesses.
Police arrived at the scene upon receiving the news and sent the bodies to the Sadar Hospital.
Akram said legal action would be taken over the incident.
