Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has touched down in Sylhet on his way to Moulvibazar for a Family Card distribution drive.
He left Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka after 9:30am on Wednesday and landed at MAG Osmani International Airport in Sylhet at 10:40am, where Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haq Choudhury, Whip GK Gauch and Sylhet City Corporation Administrator Quiyum Choudhury received him.
From Sylhet, Tarique will travel by road to Sreemangal, arriving at 1pm to inaugurate the Family Card distribution at Victoria High School ground.

The first event covers 155 families in Ward 1 of Mirzapur Union in Sreemangal Upazila.
He will then move to Moulvibazar Government High School ground at 2:30pm for a second distribution event covering 152 families in Ward 7 of Tengra Union, Rajnagar Upazila.
In the afternoon, the BNP chief will head to DuSai Resort for a brief rest before attending a meeting with party leaders.
He will then leave for Osmani Airport in the evening to fly back to Dhaka.
This is Tarique's first visit to Moulvibazar as prime minister.
He had last been to the district on the campaign trail ahead of the Feb 12 election, which BNP won to form the government.
He returned to Bangladesh on Dec 25 last year after more than 15 years in exile in London.
