A crude bomb has exploded on the road outside the Asian Development Bank (ADB) building in Agargaon, Dhaka,

The incident occurred around 8:20pm on Saturday, police said.

Sher-e-Bangla Police chief Imaul Haque said no casualties were reported. “We have begun efforts to identify the perpetrators,” he added.

Later, around 10:30pm, another crude bomb exploded beneath the metro rail station outside the IDB building in Agargaon.

The incident comes amid sporadic incidents of arson, vandalism, and blasts over the past few days.

These have been linked to the Awami League protests against the International Crimes Tribunal verdict against deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina for her alleged role in suppression attempts of the July Uprising.
