BNP factions clash in Rajshahi, Section 144 imposed in Godagari

All meetings and rallies are banned in Godagari municipality until Wednesday midnight

Two BNP factions have clashed in Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi over the observance of the party's founding anniversary.

Following the incident, the administration has imposed Section 144 in the municipality for two days, banning all forms of gatherings.

Upazila administrator (UNO) Faisal Ahmed issued the order on Tuesday afternoon.

He said all types of public gatherings, rallies, and processions would be banned in the municipality from 5pm Tuesday until 12am Wednesday night.
