Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay has sent a bouquet for Khaleda Zia, according to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

The flowers were handed over around 8pm on Sunday at the InterContinental Dhaka, where a BNP delegation met the Bhutanese leader.

Fakhrul said the prime minister inquired about the BNP chief’s health, wishing her a speedy recovery.

“He gave us a bouquet for her. I will take it to Evercare Hospital and deliver it to her,” he added.

A three-member BNP delegation, led by Fakhrul, met with the Bhutanese premier.

The team included Standing Committee member Abdul Moyeen Khan and Organising Secretary Shama Obaid.

Fakhrul said the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest. Tobgay expressed hope that Bangladesh’s national election would be held in a free and fair manner.
