Ambulance catches fire at Satkhira Hospital garage

An ambulance has been destroyed in a fire at the garage of Satkhira Medical College Hospital.

The blaze broke out at some point on Monday night and quickly engulfed the vehicle before Fire Service and Civil Defence personnel brought it under control, preventing a “wider accident”.

Deputy Assistant Director Md Saifuzzaman of Satkhira Fire Service said a unit rushed to the scene after receiving the report and extinguished the fire.

He said oxygen cylinders stored beside the ambulance had made the situation more hazardous.
