27 promoted to the post of additional DIG

Twenty-seven superintendent-level police officials have been promoted to the post of additional deputy inspector general.

The home ministry issued a circular on Tuesday afternoon announcing the promotion.

Those promoted include Police Headquarters Assistant Inspector General (Media) Md Nazrul Islam, Dhaka district police superintendent Habibur Rahman and Narayanganj superintendent Khandker Mohid Uddin Ahmed.

Eighteen additional DIGs were promoted to the position of DIG several days before.
