Lt Gen Kamrul Hassan takes charge as PSO of Armed Forces Division

The army and navy chiefs pin the rank badges of lieutenant general on him

Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan has officially assumed the role of Principal Staff Officer, or PSO, of the Armed Forces Division.

Army chief General Waker-uz-Zaman and Navy chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan adorned the rank badge of lieutenant general to Kamrul Hassan in the presence of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna on Thursday.

Air Force chief Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan was also present at the event.

Kamrul was commissioned into the Corps of Infantry in the Bangladesh Army on Dec 22, 1989.

Over his career, he has held several key positions, including the commandant of the Bangladesh Military Academy, general officer commanding, or GOC, of the 66 Infantry Division, and area commander of the Rangpur Area.
