Rashed Khan Menon to undergo surgery when blood pressure normalises

Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon has to remain in hospital for the time being for a surgery on his fractured hip-joint caused by a fall during his morning walk.

He will undergo surgery once his blood pressure normalises, Ali Ahmed Enamul Haque, an aide to the minister, told bdnews24.com citing doctors.

“He used to take regular medicines to keep in control his blood pressure. Doctors have changed the medicine now.”

The minister has no other complications and is under doctors’ observation, according to Menon’s aide.

Menon had a fall during his morning walk in front of his residence at Minto Road on

Thursday. He has been admitted to Square Hospital with a broken bone.
