Police officer killed as gunmen attack Bangladesh restaurant

Banani Police Station OC Md Salauddin has died from injuries he received in an attack by gunmen on a restaurant at Dhaka’s diplomatic zone Gulshan.

DMP Additional Commissioner Sheikh Maruf Hasan told bdnews24.com that Salauddin was declared dead by doctors at United Hospital in Gulshan when he was taken there after the attack on Friday evening.

Police, RAB and BGB have cordoned off the scene of the attack – Holey Artisan Bakery.
