Returning officers announce full results of three city corporation polls

A total of 127 people have been elected to the offices of mayor and councillor in Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong city corporations in Tuesday’s voting.
The returning officers on Wednesday announced the unofficial results of the three city elections where 1,188 people fought it out for the posts of mayor, general councillor and reserved ward councillor.
The Awami League-backed Annisul Huq has been elected mayor in Dhaka North, Sayeed Khokon in Dhaka South and AJM Nasir Uddin in Chittagong.
In Dhaka North, 36 people have been elected general councillors and 12 reserved ward councillors.
The numbers are 57 and 19 respectively in Dhaka South, and 41 and 14 in Chittagong.
