The award ceremony for the DPC National Photography Competition and Exhibition 2025 has been held in Dhaka, jointly organised by the Dhaka Photographers Club and the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdel Wahab Saidani attended Friday’s event as chief guest and handed awards to the winners, according a media statement.
Dhaka Photographers Club President Nazrul Islam Chowdhury presided over the ceremony.
This year’s DPC Grand Trophy went to photographer Rajib Rana Das.

The first, second, and third prizes were awarded to Khulna-based photographer Ujjal Kundu, Daily Ittefaq photojournalist Abdul Goni, and photographer Md Aminul Islam.
The BPS Gold Medals went to S M Mostafijur Rahman, Md Aminul Islam, Anisur Rahman, and Bipul Ahmed.
The BPS Silver Medals were awarded to Mostafijur Rahman Nasim, Tamim E Mohammad, Tanvir Ahmed Abir and Rajib Rana Das.
The BPS Bronze Medals went to Bipul Ahmed, Sajeeb Karmakar, Md Ohidul Hasan, and Ahmed Rasel.

Jury Awards were given to Mousumi Siraj, Bipul Ahmed, and Rezwanul Haque. Chitrachinta Photography Circle won the Best Club Award.
This year’s competition received 900 submissions from 186 photographers. Of these, 135 photographs were selected for exhibition, the statement said.
The three-day exhibition is being held at Gallery 1 of the National Art Gallery and will remain open until Nov 30, from 11am to 8pm every day.
