The Bangladesh Army has organised an Iftar and dinner event in honour of the students injured in the July Uprising.

The event was organised on Sunday at the Army Parade Ground in Dhaka Cantonment, the Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) said.

Chief of Army Staff Gen Waker-uz-Zaman exchanged greetings with the students at the event.

“The Iftar and dinner was attended by injured students, senior army officers, prominent figures from the civilian community and directors of various government hospitals.

“Eid gifts were handed over to them by the Bangladesh Army at the end of the event.”

In addition to providing medical services to 4,215 people injured in the Uprising at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), 989 individuals underwent successful surgeries.

Currently, 39 are undergoing treatment at the CMH in Dhaka, according to the ISPR.
