Dhaka is likely to see light rain over the next three to four days, followed by a gradual increase in rainfall, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Most parts of Bangladesh may also experience light to moderate rain during the period.

Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid told bdnews24.com on Tuesday that light rain is expected in Dhaka for the next three to four days.

"However, rainfall may gradually increase after that," he said while discussing the weather outlook for the 24 hours from 9am Tuesday.

According to the Meteorological Department, Dhaka recorded a total of 35mm of rain up to 6am on Tuesday.

The capital's highest temperature during the period was 35.5C.

The department's regular forecast said temporary gusty winds accompanied by light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur in many places in the Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

A few places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions may also experience rain or thundershowers.

Some parts of the country may receive moderately heavy rain, the forecast said.

Day and night temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged during the period.

Meanwhile, several other parts of the country are likely to see scattered rainfall, with some areas potentially experiencing moderately heavy downpours.
