Mirza Fakhrul leads 19-member BNP delegation on China visit

The BNP team will hold talks with CPC officials in Beijing

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has left for China at the invitation of the Chinese government.

He departed from Shahjalal International Airport on a China Airlines flight at 10:20pm on Sunday, according to his Assistant Personal Secretary Younus Ali.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen saw him off at the airport, he said.

A 19-member high-level BNP delegation has recently travelled to China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.

The delegation includes Ismail Zabiullah, a member of the BNP chairperson’s advisory council, while Fakhrul is leading the team.

The delegation is scheduled to hold a meeting in Beijing with Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
