BTCL increases internet speeds up to three times while keeping prices unchanged

The move aims to boost online learning, work, streaming, gaming, and smart services

The Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has announced that it has increased speeds by up to three times across various internet packages while keeping prices unchanged.

The company announced the new internet packages in a media statement issued on Sunday.

The statement said the decision was taken to ensure improved digital services for customers without increasing their expenses.

“As a result of this new initiative, customers will be able to enjoy faster internet services at the same cost as before, which will add a new dimension to online education, office work, video streaming, gaming, and the use of smart services,” the statement added.

NEW PACKAGES

  • The Sulov-5 package, previously 5 Mbps for Tk 399, has now been upgraded to 20 Mbps as Sashroyi-20.
  • The Sulov-12 package, 12 Mbps for Tk 500, is now 25 Mbps as Sashroyi-25.
  • For Tk 500, the former 15 Mbps Campus-15 package is now 50 Mbps as Campus-50.
  • The 15 Mbps Sulov-15 plan at Tk 800 has been boosted to 50 Mbps and is now called Sashroyi-50.
  • The Sulov-20 package, offering 20 Mbps for Tk 1,050, has been upgraded to 100 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-100.
  • The Sulov-25 package, 25 Mbps for Tk 1,150, is now 120 Mbps as Sashroyi-120.
  • The Sulov-30 package, previously 30 Mbps for Tk 1,300, has now been upgraded to 130 Mbps as Sashroyi-130.
  • The Sulov-40 package, 40 Mbps for Tk 1,500, is now 150 Mbps as Sashroyi-150.
  • The Sulov-50 package, previously 50 Mbps for Tk 1,700, has now been upgraded to 170 Mbps as Sashroyi-170.
