Man falls to his death from seventh floor in Bashundhara City shopping mall

A man has died after apparently falling from the seventh floor of Bashundhara City shopping mall in the capital's Panthapath.

The incident took place inside the shopping mall around 5pm on Wednesday, according to Tejgaon Police chief Kayshainu Marma.

The officer said police could not identify the man as of 7:30pm.

"Based on initial information, it appears to be a case of suicide. CCTV footage shows the man jumping voluntarily," he said.

The man's mobile phone was damaged in the incident.

"We are trying to contact his relatives using the SIM card recovered from the phone," Kayshainu said.
