Three killed as autorickshaw collides head-on with bus in Cumilla

The others have been injured, police say

Three passengers of a battery-powered autorickshaw have been killed and three others injured in a head-on collision with a bus in Cumilla.

The crash occurred on the Cumilla-Noakhali Highway on Saturday evening, said Osman Gani, chief of Laksam Highway Crossing Police.

The victims have yet to be identified.

According to police, the autorickshaw collided head-on with a bus operated by Shah Ali Super Paribahan.

Highway police are working to identify the victims and gather further details about the incident.

"Preliminary information suggests the autorickshaw was travelling on the wrong side of the road. Further details will be provided later," Osman said.
