Nasim Osman dies

Naryanganj-5 MP and Jatiya Party’s Presidium Member Nasim Osman has died in India.

His family members told bdnews24.com on Wednesday that Nasim died around 1am in Dehradun.

His younger brother Narayanganj-4 MP Shamim Osman said Nasim's body was being brought back home from India.

“My elder brother checked into a hotel in Dehradun. He was rushed to a hospital when he fell sick after having dinner. Doctors declared him dead there,” Shamim Osman told bdnews24.com.

Nasim Osman was elected MP in 1986, 1988, 2008 and 2014.

His father AKM Samsuzzoha was also an MP from this constituency in 1970 and 1973.

His brother AKM Selim Osman is the president of Narayanganj Chamber of Commerce and Industries and BKMEA.

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad expressed shock at the death of Nasim Osman.

PM condoles Nasim’s death

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her grief at the death of the Jatiya Party MP. She prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
