The Telegraph newspaper reported the casualties citing a spokesman for the Interior Ministry Najib Danish on Sunday.

He said that 11 of the 14 foreigners killed were employees of KamAir, a private Afghan airline.

He added that 10 others were wounded including six security officers and four civilians.

It took 13 hours for the Afghan security forces to end the overnight siege by killing the last of the five attackers who started storming the hotel around 9pm on Saturday.
