Shoeb Chowdhury made president of Bangladesh Fencing Association

Shoeb Chowdhury has been appointed the president of Bangladesh Fencing Association.

A businessman with special focus on technology, Chowdhury was bestowed the position through a government order issued on Sept 26, the association said in a press release on Tuesday.

He is also honorary consul of Malta in Bangladesh.

Chowdhury holds several other important roles. He is the director of International Business Forum Bangladesh and permanent member of Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

He is director of Special Olympics Bangladesh and Bangladesh adviser to Commonwealth Business Council and also general secretary of the International Institute of Business Analysis, Bangladesh.

He has served the Bangladesh Archery Federation as its vice-president. He was also the convener of Islamic Solidarity Games in Dhaka.

Chowdhury is also chairman of the Editorial Board of Daily Asian Age, a top-ranking national English newspapers in the country.
