The Mohammedans were a bit more luminous than Abahani, who were unlucky after being deprived of certain goals in the first half. Abahani dominated the last 30 minutes as the Mohammedans played a defensive mood taking the first-goal lead.
However, Abahani launched the first attack after 17 minutes, but an Ighir Mohammed header off a Farahd right-flank cross went straight to the Mohammedans custodian Biplob.
One minute later, Abahani custodian Nizam Majumdar saved his side at the cost of corner when an Alfaz cross from the right was seeking home.
