BKSP international tennis begins Saturday

Dhaka, Jan 18 (bdnews24.com) - The 5th International Junior Tennis Competition, organised by Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP), begins Saturday with the participation of 19 countries.
"It is a routine work for BKSP to organise this competition since it was introduced in 2003," said competition director Faruqul Islam at a press conference at the National Tennis Complex Thursday.
Some 125 players -- 84 boys, 41 girls, will get the chance to play in three categories.
The participating nations are Belarus, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Czech, England, Finland, India, Japan, Jordan, Korea, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the hosts Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Tennis Federation president and Energy and Mineral Resources secretary AMM Nasir Uddin will inaugurate the eight-day competition.
Henri Prethul Mondal of Bangladesh paired with a Chinese Taipei player clinched the mixed double crown in the last year.
