Bangladesh have slipped to 184th place in the FIFA rankings following their recent loss to Singapore, while Argentina sit pretty at the top.
In the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday, Javier Cabrera's side have dropped one spot after the 2-1 defeat against Singapore last month in a 2027 Asian Cup qualifier.
Previously, in March, Bangladesh had moved up two spots to 183rd after holding India to a goalless draw in Shillong.
However, the recent setback has cost them 5.15 points, bringing their total to 899.01 points.
The top of the rankings remains unchanged, with world champions Argentina leading the pack, followed by Spain, France, England, and Brazil.
Portugal have climbed one spot to sixth after their successful campaign in the UEFA Nations League. Cristiano Ronaldo's team defeated Germany 2-1 in the semi-finals and then overcame Spain in a penalty shootout to lift the trophy.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands have dropped one spot to seventh, while Belgium remain in eighth.
Four-time World Cup champions Italy have fallen two spots to 11th following their 3-0 defeat to Norway in the World Cup qualifiers. This has allowed Germany and Croatia to each move up one spot to ninth and tenth, respectively.
The next FIFA rankings will be released on Sep 18.
