Dhaka, Nov 27 (BDNEWS) – Teachers of Islamic University (IU) Sunday accused the Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof M Rafiqul Islam of the varsity of corruptions and irregularities and violation of university ordinance.
Two teachers' body of the university pointed out 20 points of irregularities against the vice chancellor, who ruled out the allegations.
The 20 points complaints included corruptions, irregularities, politicisation, nepotism and violation of university ordinance.
A liaison committee comprising main opposition Awamil League (AL) backed teachers body Bangabandhu Forum and left leaning teachers' body Shapla Forum brought the charges at a news conference at the university campus.
The teachers included member of the liaison committee Professor M Alauddin, Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Dr. Saiful Islam, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Professor Abdus Sattar, Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman, Professor Dr. Shahinoor Rahman, Professor Dr. Harunur Rashid Askari, Dr. Kamaluddin, Dr. Aynul Islam.
