The house at Dhanmondi 32, which later was turned into museum, is the place where Bangladesh’s founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated along with most of his family members on the fateful night of Aug 15, 1975.

His daughters Sheikh Hasina, the current prime minister, and Sheikh Rehana escaped the bloodbath because they were abroad at that time.

Minister of International Department of CPC Central Committee Song Tao led the delegation.

Museum Curator NI Khan and Awami League’s International Affairs Sub-Committee Secretary Shammi Ahmed, and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Shah Ali Farhad were present during their visit.

Earlier on Thursday, they met Hasina and signed an MoU with the Bangladesh Awami League on Thursday on boosting cooperation between the two parties.
