Awami League leader killed in Naogaon’s Patnitala
A group of assailants have killed a local leader of the Awami League in Naogaon.

The ruling party’s Patnitala Upazila unit President Md Isahaque Hossain, 72, was ambushed while he was getting off a microbus in front of his home at Mahmudpur in Nazipur on Tuesday night, police said.
Driver Dulal Roy, 42, was also injured in the attack. He was admitted to Patnitala Upazila Health Complex.
Patnitala Police Station OC Parimal Kumar Chakrabarty said the attackers knifed Isahaque and Dulal around 9:15pm.
The doctors declared the Awami League leader dead when the locals took them to the health complex, the OC said.
“The motive is not immediately clear. We are trying to identify and arrest the killers,” he added.
