His comment came a day after Hasina told the audience at London’s Queen Elizabeth Centre that her government was trying to get the British government to extradite Tarique from London to face justice in Bangladesh.

Tarique is convicted of money laundering and corruption in two separate cases.

“Now she [Hasina] targets BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. She has just planned a roadmap out of her vengeance and fury,” Rizvi said at a news conference in Dhaka on Wednesday

In response to another remark by Hasina on talks with the British government over Tarique’s extradition, he said: “This will be of no use because not every country is autocratic just as the Hasina administration.”

About the trial of BNP leaders, including Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Rizvi said: “This is not real justice. It is the style of Sheikh Hasina because they have blindfolded the rule of law.”

About Health Minister Mohammad Nasim’s comments on Khaleda’s medical treatment, he said, “We have expressed our grave concern repeatedly over the health and treatment of our leader.”

“Nasim said Khaleda was given proper medical treatment. This is not true at all.”

Rizvi reiterated his demand for the immediate transfer of Khaleda to United Hospital.
