Md Mustain Billah, the judge of the Comilla Cognisance Court-5 accepted the police petition as the arrest warrant was earlier issued for the BNP chief and 47 others for their alleged involvement in killing bus passengers with petrol bombs in Chauddagram in 2015.

Khaldea is serving a five-year prison sentence at the old Dhaka prison on Nazimuddin Road since Feb 8 when a special court handed down the verdict in a graft case relating to Zia Orphanage Trust.
The High Court, however, granted her interim bail on Monday, but Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said his office would contest it in the Appellate Division on Tuesday.
The former prime minister will now have to get bail from Comilla court for her release from prison even if the Supreme Court upholds the HC ruling on the interim bail.
The BNP has alleged that the ruling regime was out to keep their leader in jail with a slew of fabricated cases.
