The new plans were announced at the party’s headquarters in Naya Paltan on Monday after two days of protests.

A human chain is scheduled for Monday, sit-in protests are set for Tuesday and a hunger strike is to be held from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday.

Police broke up the BNP protest march in the Fakirapool area on Saturday, detaining several activists.

“The sit-in protests will be an hour long,” said BNP Joint Senior Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

“The districts will hold them at their convenience. A location for the Dhaka protest will be announced.”
