“Where’s she now?” Hasina asked, addressing a rally in Barisal on Thursday.

Hasina referred to the former prime minister who was taken to the old jail premises on Nazimuddin Road from the court after the verdict in Dhaka.

“This is the punishment for those who burnt people alive. And that’s happening now,” Hasina said, referring to the firebombing of vehicles during protests called by the BNP chief in 2014 and 2015 against the 10th parliamentary elections.

Referring to the trials of war criminals and the killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the four national leaders, Hasina said her Awami League party “never tolerated wrongdoings”.
She also sought vote for her party for the next general election due in December.
